About
This artist is an Alaskan artist currently working out of Fairbanks, Alaska. She is completing her BA in Art, with a concentration in Metalsmithing. She works primarily with copper, silver, brass, and recycled materials to create necklace pendants, rings, and earrings. She gains inspiration from the abundant nature in her hometown in Alaska and her participation in ocean pollution cleanup efforts. The goal of her artwork is to bring awareness to sustainability and environmental stewardship through her inclusion of recycled plastics, beads, and metal in her jewelry. Her most recent collection features a jewelry set made entirely from secondhand metal and marine debris collected from beaches around Alaska. This artist intends to continue to create work within this art medium and enter her jewelry in local galleries.
