This artist is an Alaska-based artist that is currently pursuing a BA in Metalsmithing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She works primarily with silver, copper, brass, and secondhand materials. She enjoys traveling and gains inspiration from the history, fashion, and cultures of the places she visits. From her Alaskan home she has developed a strong value for nature and the preservation of the natural world. Her work is still evolving but currently centers on functional and wearable artwork that brings attention to stewardship of the natural world and sustainable resource management. Her goal with her art is to show that sustainability and using secondhand materials can be stylish.
